As a 40 year member of the community, I have witnessed the profound transformation from a classic cooperative kibbutz to a “renewed kibbutz”. This evolution has sparked a deep reflection on the importance of preserving our history and ethos.
In response, I embarked on a creative journey to reconnect us with our roots and instill a renewed pride in our community. Through a series of artistic projects, I have uncovered and celebrated the narratives that have shaped our identity.
In this latest endeavor, the second to be held in a long deserted bomb shelter, I reinterpret iconic kibbutz artifacts—symbols of our commitment to simplicity, equality, and community — through hand-sculpted marble. Each sculpture serves as a homage to our shared heritage, reminding us of the values that unite us.
